Avocado is a fruit of the plant Lauraceae family, which includes other popular fruits like guava and bay leaf. It is native to Mexico where it was used by ancient Aztecs in their cooking long before Europeans arrived. Later on, Spaniards brought avocado to India (where it’s called “butter fruit”) and later again to North America. If you have a ripe avocado fruit with a pit in the middle, it is easy to germinate an avocado seed. Keep reading to learn how.

How to germinate avocado seed?

  1. Wash the seed and remove all pulp with a spoon or your fingers. Leave as much as you can; it will help to prevent the seed from rotting quickly.
  2. Put the avocado pit in a small jar and cover with water up to 1/3 of the pit.
  3. Put the jar in a warm place (room temperature), which means not in direct sunlight. You may also keep the jar in a closed container with warm water, e.g., in the bathroom cabinet above the sink or on top of your fridge where it’s usually warmer than other places.
  4. Change the water every day to avoid it becoming stagnant and thus promoting bacterial growth.
  5. After 2 weeks, you will notice a bud emerging from the root end of the seed. Notice also two new leaves on the top of the avocado pit—these are called cotyledons. If you don’t see them after a week or so, try gently shaking your jar to see if they fall off—you may need to plant them right away to ensure plant survival.
  6. After 4 weeks, your avocado seed should be fully germinated and ready to pot into a small planter with soil to grow an avocado sapling. If you do this, keep watering the plant regularly—avocados are native to humid climates similar to South Florida or Cuba’s, so don’t let it dry out.

When should I germinate my avocado seed?

The best time to germinate avocado seeds is in late autumn or winter when temperatures are lower than during other times of the year. If you plant it too early, the warmer weather may cause your seedling to die. However, if you don’t want to wait that long, just keep the jar with the pit covered in water in a room that is heated 24/7 or where you go regularly.

Experience shows that if the avocado pit has just fallen off the fruit, it may take much less time for germination. The same applies if you have bought an avocado seed in a pet store—they are sometimes kept warm enough to sprout quickly.

Pit germination is a relatively easy way to grow avocado indoors in places where there are no naturally growing trees. You can also plant your germinated pit outdoors in the summer if you live in a warm climate and keep it indoors during winter when it’s cold. Just be sure to take the seedling out of direct sunlight once it gets big enough to handle.

Apart from the standard method of growing an avocado plant described above, you can try rooting the seed in water for propagation purposes. If you choose this option, make sure that if you cut the pit into half to root it in water that you put some fleshy part of it down, i.e., with the (usually) lighter-colored side on top. You can also try cutting a thin rectangle off the fleshy end and planting it in soil with the flat, cut side down—it may grow roots better this way. Regardless of which method you choose to use, make sure to keep an eye on your plant for any signs of stress such as browning leaves or the pit rotting, at which point your avocado plant needs attention. Today I’m looking for something different a cruiser bike.  If you visit a bike shop there is obviously you have found a cruiser bike rack that you see. It’s quite a selection, but I didn’t come for any cruiser bike and here we are going on details.

Pricing Issue

I came for this specific one and this is a huffy Cranbrook under 80 bucks, a still best cruiser bike for women with an amazing break but that doesn’t mean it is easy to persuade.

Let’s look at what else they have like this Kent-based side, the base, a nice-looking bike. I really liked those red rims, but it’s got something that I didn’t come looking for.

I’m not looking for gears today and this has a rear derailleur. You also caught a glimpse of the Schwinn midway 150 bucks.

I love the Schwinn name, a lot of nostalgia there, but unfortunately, this bike also has a rear derailer. This looks nice and it doesn’t have a rear. It’s also huffy. So that’s a plus.

This is the huffy Lusso, but it costs more than the Cranbrook thing is I think that the Cranbrook fits a niche that doesn’t exist anymore.

You hear everyone talk about how sturdy their old bike they bought from a big box store was back when they were in.

I’m thinking that maybe back then bikes, weren’t trying to do what they’re trying to do today.

None of the marketing and the mountain bike styles and the full suspensions, all this stuff, companies are trying to throw onto these bikes without increasing the price.

That means quality’s going to suffer. So that’s my theory. I take this Cranbrook off the shelf, the way they assemble it at Walmart and it should last for years without any problem.

That is until I ran into a problem and that is that the one on the had a warped rent. I checked with the employees and they only had one more bike in the store and it was boxed up and the bike assembler.

Durability

I have no way of transporting a boxed bike home while I am looking for old-school durability. That doesn’t mean that I’m not modern enough to want something right now.

So, I need to look for an alternative. What about that? No Lusso Italian for in luxury that might explain why it costs more than the Cranbrook, because of the components.

Look like they were the same thing as the Cranbrook, just with a fancy paint job and a couple of extra racks and a Chrome Medallia, who am I to let costs get in the way of pseudoscience.

I plunked down 130 bucks and I’m out the door with this thing. Let’s just hope that No Luso, doesn’t also translate to, for DLA. I let my pseudo-scientific ambition get in the way of common sense.

I brought it from my old bike rack and its super clamp has a problem clamping down on metal fenders. This bike has metal fenders.

So that means I had to use some Alabama engineering to come up with a way to get this thing two and a half miles to home. After a very slow drive home, I made it and nothing was damaged.

Even the tags were still in place. Now that I’ve got it at home, I get to look at what I bought for 130 bucks and It does look good.

Now it’s important to note, I’m not going to do any adjustments to this bike. I’m riding it exactly as it came off the shelf, all I’m doing is taking off any hangtags and warranty information and looking at the placard to see what they say it can do.

It looks like they’re pretty honest in this case for 130 bucks, Chrome wide sweeping handlebars with huffy comfort grips that come poorly adjusted kind of the wrong angle.

Besides the Chrome quills stem is a plastic huffy cup holder. Now it’s plastic, but it looks like leather. A nice touch on the other side, you have a cell phone holder.

This fit my iPhone seven plus I figured I would get an aluminum huffy name, placard being with all the Chrome that’s on this bike.

Instead, you get a foil sticker that pans out to show that nice basket upfront. Just thinking old tins. Most of this bike is still very little plastic.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the fenders are still and by modern standards, they’re very thick as is the Husky rigid fork. Now I’m a sucker for tires that aren’t black.

So, this coral-colored 26 by 2.1 generic street tires look great and they have 10 sides. The steel frame has a very amazing to look at.

It’s all still the only plastic on it is that Chrome medallion that says huffily since 1892, with all the beefy components.

I was shocked to see how cheap the stickers look on this, but not good at all, but the saddle to be very nice has a leather look to it, but it’s actually vinyl, but a cool touch is the Schwinn in huffy branding.

The steel rear rack can handle 22 pounds, add the 10 from the front and you get 32 pounds of potential cargo-carrying capability.

The rear still fender has a reflector position, like an old tail light, and that coral or contrast perfectly against all this black steel, and the chain guard looks kind of like an old Western flyer.

Versatility

Really cool and It’s still nuts but not sure of the gearing ratio, but the crank arms are Chrome and around.

The pedals will like they’re designed solely for comfort they’re Hills in every direction leaving. So I need to get this fixed gear bike onto flat ground. That means I’m going to transport it.

So, I’m going to use my old Harbor freight Brattle rack. If I can get the bike on it, it may work out much better than the saris for this bike, with the strategic use of some zip ties and padding.

Think I’ve got this thing on this Harbor freight. Should get me where I need to go, got the bike off the rack.

I turned around and I saw this couldn’t believe how well the bike looked like it fit. Matter of fact, it fits so well and I was so excited.

I hopped on it without a helmet, made it about 50 feet before I realized I’m riding a Walmart assembled bike without a helmet with my helmet on, I felt a little better about hitting the streets with this thing.

Now it’s not fast and this is a cruiser and it apparently means slow cruising because you’re not going to break any speed records on this bike, but that’s not what it’s about.

It’s about smooth ease and it does deliver on that. It’s very nimble and agile, but you don’t go fast.

As a matter of fact, my average speed over the entire day of riding this bike was six miles an hour you may not have speed, but chap and lots of it, this bike traversed streets that I ride daily and it just floated over bumps.

That’s because of that dual-spring seat that you sit and that upright seating position, nothing feels like it’s happening fast and nothing feels like it’s happening.

It’s just an easy pleasant and all the casual comfort aside. I did have one issue with this bike and that’s that I couldn’t stop on it and I could slow down.

If I put everything that I have on the bike, I remember coaster brakes. When I was a kid, I could lock up the tire easily and slide downhill.

It doesn’t happen on this bike. So, something’s clearly not right, but to take it by the bike shop on Tuesday, but I’m hoping it doesn’t end up like this old huffy.

This was in front of the bike. Somebody just gave it up. The brakes are an issue. The only other problem is a problem with me. I’m not conditioned for a single-speed bike.

So I find out that areas that look flat might not actually be flat, but on flat roads, this thing’s perfect, and definitely no Lusso would be taken up by the bike shop.

This thing will be a great long-term experiment. Hope it holds up. Like I expect it to there’s a lot of steel and not much moving.

Conclusion

So maybe this might work and I’ll report back with how this thing’s doing periodically if I do some good long-term tests. Thanks for reading my post. Have a great day and stay tuned with Outdoorxsports for more great bike articles.

Installing a new floor sink is a relatively simple operation. With a little talent and some DIY skills, you can proceed by avoiding calling the plumber. Also, save something on the costs related to the renovation of the bathroom. So here are our instructions for use: simple, fast, and effective. All you have to do is follow them.

Preparatory phase for installing a floor sink

The first thing to do:

  • Take all the necessary measures.
  • Therefore, write down the values relating to the new floor sink’s total width on a sheet and measure the fixing distance.
  • Accurately evaluate the gap between the drain and the inflow.
  • Do not forget to note the distance between the floor and the upper corner of the floor sink.

At this point, to avoid unpleasant hitches, make yourself safe by emptying the pipes and closing the general tap. It is also better to deactivate the corner valves that you will find immediately under the old floor sink for greater peace of mind.

Check that you have done everything correctly by opening and closing the taps several times. In these cases, it is always better not to flaunt too much safety.

Get all the tools

At this point, you must have all the tools in the house that you can use to disassemble the old floor sink and mount its brand new replacement. In particular, make sure you have sufficient doses of silicone, a parrot wrench, and one suitable for the nuts. You will find in correspondence with the taps.

Also essential are the pliers, hydraulic fittings, and the inevitable wrench. Finally, a trowel, a drill with a tile tip, a bucket, and some old rags may come in handy.

Remove the old floor sink

You are now ready to proceed. Start by disconnecting both the pipes and the drain. You will most likely need pliers and a wrench at this stage. Warning: As you proceed, you may notice small water leaks. Do not be alarmed: as long as it is not a large spill, everything is normal. Arm yourself with a bucket and rags and stem the problem as soon as possible.

At this point, unscrew the union nut between the floor sink and the drain. It is normally placed on the wall or floor. Finally, proceed by detaching the floor sink from the wall and removing the taps.

Do not exert too much force, but if anything, help with a spatula that can weaken any silicone residues used in the assembly phase. If instead of silicone you have used fixing screws, of course, you will have to remove them first and then take out the floor sink.

The second phase for the installation of the new floor sink

Not necessarily the old and the new floor sink will coincide in shape, size, and size. This means that before drilling the tiles, which may not be necessary, it will be good to make sure of the exact height to install the sanitary.

Once you are sure of the measurements, spread a thin layer of silicone on the back edge of the floor sink, then place the object in its ideal position. Immediately remove any glue spills.

If your floor sink is a countertop, apply the silicone to the lower part of the sanitary ware, leaving others to bear the weight. If the floor sink is to be mounted on a counter in hard material (stone or granite above all), it is better to drill using a diamond tip.

Fixing the new floor sink

Now, following the specific instructions of the purchased product, fix the floor sink with screws. Then mount the tap. For this operation, you may need some silicone and the mounting kit included in the package.

Then install the drain: the structure must first slide inside the floor sink and then be secured with a screw. Pay attention to the gaskets: if present, do not forget to insert them. Otherwise, replace them with hydraulic putty or even with silicone.

The final phase

At this point, the bulk of the work is now done. Before putting down the tools and singing victory, however, check some details. First, make sure that the water pipes are well installed, match the valves, and that there are no possible leaks.

Then connect the drain plug, seal all the joints and open the general water tap. Now you can try the floor sink. Any leaks could be due to the gaskets or fixings that are a little too loose.

Small useful tips

If you have read this guide, you are most likely not a professional plumber. We, therefore, allow ourselves to teach you other small and big tricks of the trade. First of all, always avoid tightening the valves too much: you risk breaking them.

Secondly, at least initially, check all the sensitive parts of the floor sink frequently and make sure that no leaks have occurred over time. During the first week after installation, you may find yourself needing to redefine all the fixings: don’t worry, it happens even to experts.

Do not use Teflon if your hoses are made of rubber or if the fittings are of the compression type. Finally, after installing the new floor sink, let the silicone dry for at least 24 hours.

Today we’re going to be looking at shark vacuum maintenance and what we have today is a shark navigator swivel plus and which is also known as Shark NV46.

So, here we have talked about its Basic and advanced maintenance and some fixing issues.

Regular Maintenance

It’s a bagless vacuum and a lot of the modern vacuums, they have just these canisters, which is nice. You don’t have to buy bags and usually, everything’s washable as well.

Just like with this one it’s very simple. You are going to want to put it back on there so you can see there’s a button right here, a silver button to the right of the handle there.

You just press it and it comes right off and then you put it back. It’s going to click to claim this. There are a few key spots. So, if you open the lid, there’s actually your first filter right here and this got some silver.

So, it’s like a metal filter and It’s got some holes in it. If that gets clogged, that’s the first point where the air is going to basically cap is going to catch all the debris.

So, you really want to make sure that that’s, that’s breathing there. So, to clean that which we’ll do is you’ll take a rag and you’ll just kind of rub along with it and you’ll see that will clean it off and it’ll open up that.

When per hair dirt and debris bothering you so much then it’s essential to take best shark vacuum for pet hair.

So, air can flow through there again, and then you just close the lid also to empty it.

You’ll press this button right here and I’m not going to do that since I don’t have a trash can right beside me, but you’ll press this button right here.

I’ll just show you how it drops down and it’ll open up and I’m sure you guys can figure that out on your own, but I just wanted to show you that just in case, put it back.

There is a lot of modern vacuums to filters are need washing you know and the purpose is basically to keep the motor clean.

Do you want clean air again getting into the motor, but also get back out to the environment you want to clean there and I’m going to just show you a quick example of arrogant sucked in and then where it will come out as well?

Motor

This is what we would call motor fields to cause the motor is within this part and this is the exhaust basically.

Under the canister, we have filters as well and I was saying, the first filter is up top right here in the canister and then within the vacuum canister, you can see it too.

So, everything’s in the case in this part, right? So, it’s going to catch all your debris outside of that cylinder within there.

The filter up top, and then it’s going to go right back through, down the cylinder under here, which is open and it’s going to work his way into these filters.

There is you have a filter cartridge or a holder and you can take this out and this is washable. So, you should run it under the sink until it’s about white.

These get yellow pretty quickly but until you’re bringing clean water.

You also have a filter underneath, right So a lot of filters going on but these are the pre-motor filters. Right

So, ensuring that they clean their kids to the motor and you have good airflow and this motor is sucking air and if these filters are clogged and not clean, it’s going to be harder for it to work and I’m going to turn this on underneath the cartridges.

You can actually take a look and see and basically the motor or the beginnings of the motor, and you can feel some air arrogant pulled in there and just need to turn that on.

Suction

Do you want your good suction power vacuum? So, you’ll notice with vacuums, everything pretty tight in it. If there’s a hole in the system or in the hose, the suction is not as good. So, they want a nice and tight there.

Then put the filters back in and this is Washable as well again you have to need to run this under the sink.

Till it’s running, putting clean water around to put it back in the same way, just right back in, tuck it under those little hooks that you’ll see there.

It’s looking good step back in then you’ll put the circle filter and It’s right back in place. The last filter I want to show you were the front filter or the post-motor filter.

Filter

back in there, it takes about, depending on the environment you’re in maybe two to four hours.

Make sure that button is clicked in there and then you did it right. You’ll put it on and everything will flow and this won’t pop off.

This filter is important because it’s going to keep your air-cleaning your house so that’s why make sure that one’s clean. This is your last filter before the air goes back into the environment.

So now I want to talk about some common clogs. This is going to be the most common issue you’re going to run into is that you’re going to be vacuuming along, and then you’re going to notice it’s not picking up stuff or it’s not picking up as much stuff as it was before and there are some common areas to check.

And the cool thing about this is if I show you this vacuum and a lot of them are going to have the same kind of design to it.

So, it’s going to translate over to those models as well. So, the first place I check, even though it seems like the host might be the first one, I’ll actually check the canister.

You can see the previous building right through here. If this gets clogged, that’s going to create just as much as you say, if the hose was calling.

Then usually if this top portion of the canister because ideally, debris will work its way down low, but if this top portion gets clogged, then the air is not going to flow.

So, make sure that that’s clean and that’s the first place right in the canister overloaded and then similar to that.

You’re going to check this area, which is basically if that’s fine, that it might have overflowed into this where it meets the canvas.

Brushroll

Then also the cool thing about these vacuums is a lot of the pieces will just come right off and so you can get good access to everything.

So, I took the hose right off and this piece will come off and you can always check to see if this is clogged.

But just be careful and you don’t want to put too much pressure on the clock area. Just want to go real gentle, just in case sometimes the, see like a paperclip or just a needle of some sort, that’s going to Pierce your hose if you press too hard on it.

If you want to work it out there without years in the hopes that that would be ideal and then just, you know, work your way down.

And if I had a cog in there with pop right up and another area is right here and sees the hose will connect.

You can check this little piece of hose, right? So, you can check up top, down, and low So it’s all those and where the hose meets.

You can’t take it off, but some of the newer ones allow you to take that piece off, and then putting everything back is just as simple as you took it off.

So, it’s got, it’s got clips on it. You push them and to pull down and then you’ll just push it up till it clicks.

Now it’s time to take off the brush, roll on your shark vacuum. So, you’ll see, there’s a button back here. It gets a little tricky.

It’s a little bit tough to pull off sometimes and you will need to use your foot on the base. Now you have a need to pushing and pulling apart, but you’ll need to just press the button and that’ll release this.

Then you just have access to underneath and sometimes this can be collected to the point where it won’t spin.

Maybe something got caught in their paperclip or anything like that and It just causes you not to spin it and you might hear it clicking as it spins so you can hold whatever that is out.

Usually, also, you get a lot of hair on here and you can run a razor blade.

Conclusion

This shark vacuum is really awesome one and when you going to fix it that is so simple. Here we have discussed elaborately how you can fix it.

Welcome to our article on how to do a wheelie on a BMX. Here we have discussed details of BMX bike wheelie guidelines. Here remind it that safety is the first option.

Wheelie on a BMX with safety

So first what you’ll want to do is safety. First, of course, I would recommend wearing pads, especially on your knees.

Always wear pads when you ride the bike, especially it will hurt if you hate your knees might be on the bars a helmet and it’s optional.

If you’re just riding around, I’m a neighborhood doing little hops of curbs. I think that you don’t really need a helmet, but if you’re doing like 360 soft stair sets, then I would commend wearing a helmet.

Pedaling

If you’re a beginner. So the first thing you want to do in a wheelie is you’ll need a bike. So then what you want to do is you push down on the pedal and at the exact same time you pull up and it kind of looks like this.

So when you push down and you pedal and pull up at the same time. So that’s kind of the first step when doing a wheelie. Here’s an example of what it looks like down on the pedal. Pull

push down on the pedal and pull up because it’s easier for the meal to come up to the ground field force. So that is the first step for the tech. I have no idea.

Jumping

One important thing that you’ll want to remember when doing a wheelie is how to. Not get hurt. If you get in an accident like if you go too high, you have to do this thing that you leap out where you jump off the bike.

So you don’t get hurt or fall on your back. Here’s what it looks like. I’m going to try to frame an example.

Then you want to try to keep the front of the bike up and you do that by you just keep pedaling. You don’t do one and then you go down, you just lift up.

So you want to practice that you want to keep pedaling and do the leap out.

Try not to go too high if he goes too high and then you don’t want to do a week out, be careful with this so you can just stop pedaling for a moment, and then you’ll go down and then keep pedaling.

So those are all the main steps for how to do a really on an adult BMX bike. You could also do it sitting down.

Maybe on a different bike or if you put your seat, hi, um, also be careful and try doing the leap outs. It’s kind of the same thing for manuals.

Bunny Hop

First things first it’s a bunny hop through stuff, overstaff, whatnot. Most people do it wrong. They do it like this.

They sort of come up to a stair-step and just sort of crop dust off the top of it. Not much here, not much hired the correct way to do it is like us.

You go at your object, your buddy hops into it and then out in and out, it’s not straight at that time. Once you get more confident with it, you can start going faster and faster.

It’s just basically bunny hop and then out. I think this is one of the most important things. Throw five BMX.

Next, we have slides of grinds. The most important thing to a good slide is speed. Got to have good speed. Otherwise, you’re going to fail every time. The next important thing is a clean bunny hop. Good speed.

Clean bunny hop. Then you can start doing things like getting up and over the rail. You can start doing three sixties to seventies into slides.

But the biggest, most important thing is speed and a clean study hall. Once you start dominating, you can do our slides like this as well.

Now, as you’ll probably know, traveling around the map on a BMX is a real pain in the ass.

It’s so slow. This method here helps you go along faster than most cars are you doing as bunny hopping and leading the forward over and over again, it takes a bit to get used to, but it’s a really handy way to get around the city.

Next, up, we have the nose manual, or sloppy not sure what you call it properly, or you need to do it versus you buddy hop in leaning forward.

And then you slightly hold the brake and takes quite a bit of practice to get it right. But once you do, you can start striking them together like this and throw out a bit of a spin as well. And lastly, we’ve just got

Otherwise, you’re the boss. And lastly, the same as a 360, do the backflip, you can pull it down to the diagonal. It does a flourishing kind of thing.

Looks really good. All right, everyone. Well, that’s the end of the tutorial. I know it was fairly basic, but I do hope it helps them. You guys that have just started, let me know what you think of the comments.

Conclusion

So please make sure to watch that if you need it in your life, somewhere up here, way up there in the sky where that bird is. Thanks for reading our article and if you want to learn more about biking tips you can follow OutdoorXsports.
